This is the WORST route to go. Our business depends heavily on email access and Yahoo! is extremely unreliable. Continuous error messages and NO tech support. ...

A terrible host - site was down most of the time KEEP AWAY FROM THEM - trying to get a refund now. However, they are quick to respond to complaints. Their hardware failed and all my data was lost! THEY DIDN'T HAVE A BACKUP - They did give me a long explanation trying to blame the hardware supplier. Don't believe these other reviews they are FAKE...

You get what you pay for! If you want great tech support, you will not find it at Bluehost. Basically, you are on your own. They send canned "fix it" messages and it is up to you to make the changes. If you are a geek, you are all set. If you aren't, look somewhere else for web hosting ...
Globat

First off, as many other have mentioned, they will constantly billl your credit card for phony services you don't want until you opt out. If you simply fail to reply to an e-mail from them, your credit card on file will get charged an additional $30 for the mystery upgrade of the month.
Second, the support is attrocious. They claim to be 24/7 but that is only through the Live Chat. This level of support is simply prompting you to fill out a support ticket and wait for an e-mail. Under no circumstances can you talk to someone about your problem who might actually be able to help. The technician who eventually does respond may or may not be helpful. If this happens, you have no recourse.
Finally, the MySQL is terrible in Globat. If you plan on ever having a message board or blog, or anything else that requires a database, this is not the hosting for you.
Oh, and one more thing, if you decide to leave their terrible service early, you don't get any money back you prepaid. ...
PowWeb

I have learned that someone filed a copyright complaint against a website hosted by PowWeb, and their legal team sent out a letter, purportedly mailed to me personally, that was totally unrelated to the issue complained of. I have written to the legal department to inquire why my privacy has been violated, and they are ignoring me. I have had no contact - zero - with PowWeb - ever. I need the name and address of an owner or manager of PowWeb, in order to escalate this to the BBB and others. Anyone? ...

Host Monster is the 3rd hosting company that we have had in the last 8 years. We have now been with them for almost two years. They are by far the best in every category. Their customer support is absolutely fantastic. But, the best part of it all...we have only needed to call them once in 2 years! These guys never go down. Best of all, their customer support is ON SHORE! Even though we have only had to call them once in a two year period. Now all we can do is hope that they remain as great as they are....

Be careful!!! Basically it is junk except you pay all the money they want. The worst thing is they will set you up in the terms. They will not want you to close your account. They increase the price every year and they take money without your permission!...

As a customer, reseller and affiliate of Globat for more then 3 years now I can honestly say I wouldn't host anyplace else. They have helped with me with billing when I had to update my credit card, and even guided me in the right direction when it came to some php scripts I use for sending mail. There support is top notch and timely. They are trustworthy and reliable; you couldn't ask for a better host. They have whatever plan you need from a basic 1000GB Disk Space / 1000GB bandwidth plan to an UNLIMITED plan. All for only $4.44/mo = $53/yr...

I've been an iPower customer since 2001 and they have gone dramatically downhill over the last few years. The space and monthly bandwidth is excellent. Nowadays, though, the new servers are SSLLOOWW... it's as though they're channeling Twitter or something.
Also, the tech support is nothing more than a crowd of retarded monkeys throwing poop at their keyboards. Seriously. It usually takes 3 hour-long phone calls and 20 emails to resolve an issue that they created (typically something wrong with their server)....

I have just spent a total of 2 1/2 hours on the phone, I have been transferred to upteen different people mostly who only speak a modicum of English. Eventually spoke to someone in the US (We are in the UK) who told me that there was no one who could correct our problem as they are only in during working hours (US) not much use when we are in the UK with no website or emails... How much has this cost us? (£1000's), annoyed? (assuredly yes), but mostly disbelief that they can only follow a script and cannot make decisions.
We are going to move to our own servers now, so taking incompetant rip-off third parties out of the equation. Like most companies we do not have the time to sort out these sorts of problems, we would rather just throw money at it if it goes wrong rather than be offline because some automated system has tripped....
